Project construction is scheduled to begin in your area beginning on Monday, February 15, 2021. Construction activi-ties will include utility upgrades, sidewalk and street improvements, landscaping and irrigation, and burying of overhead utilities. During construction, a minimum of one lane of traffic will be open in both directions at all times. Pedestrian traffic will be rerouted to the east side of Channelside Drive. As work continues, the City of Tampa reminds residents and commuters to exercise caution when traveling through construction areas.
Phase I is expected to be complete by the end of April 2021. A schedule for the other phases will be determined as the project progresses.
How to Prepare
To prepare for the upcoming work and help en-sure a successful outcome, we ask for your coop-eration as follows:
- Remove existing landscape and/or hardscape items you would like to save from the right-of-way areas abutting your property (typically from edge of roadway to 15’ back) prior to the start of work.
- Avoid installing new landscape and/or hardscape items within the right-of-way areas and from making any driveway modifications until restoration of your area is complete.
